Linda started CHEER Counseling in 2006 with a goal of bringing friendly and affordable counseling to the general population. She understands that a person’s problems often originate in the family, and for optimal recovery the whole family needs to be included in the treatment process.
Prior to opening CHEER in 2006, Linda worked for five years with clients who were court ordered into therapy due to anger and/or substance abuse problems. She developed and ran programs for clients with substance abuse, child abuse, and criminal thinking.
Linda sees very few clients. She counsels primarily with womens’ issues including depression, anxiety and trauma, relationship issues with couples, parenting issues, substance abuse and disabilities. She has additional training in couples counseling and trauma resolution. Linda is one of the few counselors in the area who is able to converse in Sign Language and often sees deaf clients.
Linda has lived in the Tampa Bay area for 30 years, and presently lives in Valrico, Florida.
