Jeffrey Goidel works with children, teens and families in public school and private clinical practice. He has been a faculty member in psychology at Monroe College, New York City, and Long Island University, Rockland Campus. Dr. Goidel is an expert witness in the Rockland County, NY court system and has consulted to such community agencies as the Association for Retarded Children, United Hospice, and Legal Aid. He presently lives in Boca Raton, Florida. He sees children in Plant City and Brandon schools druing the day, and at Cheer Counseling on weeknights.
Dr. Goidel works with youngsters and families on issues including anxiety, social problems, depression, grief/loss, divorce/separation, peer pressure, school problems, learning disability, developmental disability, anxiety, social problems, depression, grief/loss, divorce/separation, peer pressure, school problems, learning disability, developmental disability and ADHD. He provides assessment, therapy and psychological testing, and Child Protective Services.
Dr. Goidel recieved the Florida State Education Merit Award the past four years in a row (2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011). This award, presented by the Florida state Governor, recognizes outstanding professionals across disciplines in the Florida public schools. Recipients receive a $2,500 stipend funded by a grant from the Florida state budget.

Dr. Goidel accepts most major Florida and New York insurances including: BCBS/New Directions, Cigna, Humana, United Behavioral, Florida Kids Care, and others. His fee without insurance is $125/hr. Testing requires additional fees for Dr. Goidel’s time in scoring the tests and writing-up the evaluation. A partial payment/deposit for testing must be paid at the time you make the appointment to see Dr. Goidel and is not refundable if you miss the appointment.
